TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES
Internship & Residencies
The specialist departments at Beecroft offer an intensive one-year training programme in specific areas of veterinary medicine. This postgraduate training is an important step for those intending to specialise or improve their clinical knowledge to become advanced practitioners. We have openings in internal medicine, surgery, emergency critical care, and avian and exotics medicine.
Prerequisites include completing a veterinary degree from an accredited university and licensure in Singapore.
Beecroft offers a highly competitive residency programme, known for its excellence in training and development.

Veterinarian
As a referral and emergency hospital, you will see a varied caseload, have clinical independence and access to advanced diagnostic equipment, and support from experts & specialists.

Must have a recognised board-certified specialist qualification.
Must have a degree in Veterinary Medicine or Veterinary Science and a veterinary licensure in Singapore
At least seven (7) years of experience in veterinary medicine is required.

A minimum of two (2) years of practice experience or prior emergency experience.
Demonstrates passion, focus, and excellent client service skills.
Required to work some public holidays on a rotational basis with colleagues, with time off given in lieu of these shifts.
Excellent communication skills to maintain and build relationships with referring clinics.
MRI Technician
you will operate MRI equipment, conduct imaging procedures, and assist veterinarians in diagnosing complex conditions. Your expertise will ensure accurate imaging and the best possible care for our animal patients.

Set up MRI algorithms for patients.
Ensuring staff and patient safety at all times by making sure MRI safety rules are followed.
Assist our nurses with anesthesia of patients undergoing imaging and monitor these patients post GA.
Set up appropriate equipment for imaging modalities such as CT, MRI and ultrasounds.
Keep track of imaging inventory and keep up with all maintenance of machines.
Work together with other vets and nurses from other departments about inpatient cases.
Maintain good medical records including client communications.
Being able to troubleshoot any minor issues and contact the GE imaging help desk if needed.
Maintain the "flow" of the daily schedule by starting cases on time and helping with the coordination of the schedule.
Work with other departments for any patient transfers.
Ensure that the RITC policies are adhered to.
Work with the assistants to keep the prep room, recovery area, monitoring desk, and MR room clean and organised.
If there are no MRI cases, the candidate will assist with other imaging modalities.

Must be an MRI-trained. Would consider any human nurse or technician with this training.
Certified/registered Veterinary Technician diploma or degree is advantageous but not necessary.
Ability to multi-task.
Strong organisational skills.
The position will be 5 days per week, 8 hours per day.
Weekend on-calls may be required.
TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES
Student Externship & Veterinary Nursing
At Beecroft, we strive to support the community and provide opportunities for continued learning. We work with the Temasek Polytechnic Diploma of Veterinary Technology programme and accept students for rotations. The nurse externship programme is also open to existing nurses from other clinics to learn and upgrade their skills. We offer work attachments for nurses and nursing students in departments such as emergency and critical care, internal medicine, surgery, and exotics. The minimum volunteer attachment period is two weeks.
We also welcome veterinary and junior college students with an interest in veterinary medicine to spend time at our veterinary hospital.
This opportunity will enrich your learning experience and expose you to a referral and emergency veterinary setting.

Veterinary Technician/Nurse
Veterinary Technicians play a vital role in providing the highest standard of care for animals. As part of our collaborative team, you will assist veterinarians with medical procedures, monitor patients, administer treatments, and ensure the well-being of our patients.

Diploma in veterinary technology or relevant nursing qualifications.
At least one (1) year of work experience in the veterinary industry.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work under pressure.

Veterinary Internship

PCAs assist with animal care, support veterinary staff, and ensure a clean and safe environment for our patients. No prior training is required; we will provide comprehensive training to help you develop your skills and advance your career towards veterinary nursing.
